Dr. Sumaiya Shahzad

I am Dr. Sumaiya Shahzad (PT). I did my graduation from RIPHAH International University, Islamabad (RCRS).

I have clinical experience from various reputable organizations in the twin cities. My professional career started from Pakistan Railway General Hospital and RIPHAH rehabilitation center as a Rehab House officer. Additionally, I have work experience in Pakistan Airforce Hospital (PAF) Islamabad & Islamabad physiotherapy and rehabilitation center (IPRC) G-8. Currently I am working as Physical Therapist at Ali Ahmed Physiocare F-7 Markaz.

I am a Red Crescent certified ACLS and BLS practitioner, among many other certifications. I have experience with specially abled children including Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental delays and Autism. Moreover, I have actively handled patients of all age groups and diverse conditions including, neuromuscular issues, orthopedic and musculoskeletal issues,
spinal issues, general fitness, post-stroke anomalies, post-op rehabilitation and other comorbidities.

I strive to help my patients recover in a comfortable yet productive environment, effectively treating the condition with the patient’s primary goals in focus. I strive to implement evidence based practice to provide efficient and effective physiotherapy treatment to my patients to ensure optimal recovery and rehabilitation.
