Dr Sammar Abbas Malik

I am Dr. Sammar Abbas Malik. I did my graduation from Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Bahawalpur, under University of health sciences, Lahore in 2015. I did my post-graduation from Isra University Islamabad (IIUI).

I started my professional career as a proficient Physical Therapist from 2015. I worked at Renowned Government Hospitals such as Benazir Bhutto Hospital & Holy Family Hospital for few months as an Intern Physical Therapist. I also worked at Federal General Hospital, Chak shahzad, Islamabad as a Physical Therapist for one year. I was also engaged with many philanthropic organizations working for the betterment of society. I served in Care for the Special Persons Foundation, I8/2, Islamabad as a Consultant Physical Therapist.

I worked as a Sports Physical Therapist in Special Olympics at district level in 2016. Besides having extensive clinical experience, I have much experience on academic side. I worked as a Lecturer DPT at Bashir Institute of Health Sciences, Bharakahu, Islamabad for almost one year. Affiliated with this Institute, I also served as an Examiner at Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZAMBU), Islamabad and as a Clinical Instructor at National Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine (NIRM) Islamabad. Currently, I am working in Ibadat International University, Islamabad as a Clinical Instructor and Lecturer DPT since March 2018.

Being an Orthopaedic Manual Therapist, my Research Projects have also been published on various Musculoskeletal conditions in renowned journals like “ The Rehabilitation Journal”, “ Rawal Medical Journal”, “PLOS ONE Journal” etc.

I am a Certified Fitness Training Instructor as well. I got this certification under American Council of Exercise (ACE) personal trainer certification exam from New Skills Academy in 2020.

I also run private clinics as Consultant Physical Therapist at Rasheed General Hospital, Rawalpindi  and as well as at Al-Rehman Medical Care, satellite town, Rawalpindi. I am specialized in most current evidence based manual and exercise techniques. I am highly trained in translatoric spinal manipulation, functional massage and advanced orthopaedic and therapeutic exercise concepts.  

I am expert in providing treatments such as Soft tissue, neuro & Joint Mobilizations, Thrust and Spinal manipulations, Dry needling, Kinesio taping, Muscle Energy Techniques, Muscle Stretchings & in all kind of Gym Training and fitness exercises.

I am currently working as a Physiotherapist in Ali Ahmad Physiocare (AHPC) in F7/2, Islamabad. I provide here high quality rehabilitation services with latest electrotherapeutic modalities and with skilled manual therapy.
